So Nick Cannon has decided to put his money where his mouth is, literally, challenging a famous figure in hip-hop to a battle.
You see, for the actor, comedian, entrepreneur, TV personality, and the former Mr. Mariah Carey, respect is all that matters.
While constantly being dismissed as nothing more than a novelty, Cannon has managed to make quite a name for himself in show business.
So he has decided to take matters into his own hands, and get back some of his cred. With the BET Awards just a few weeks away, he’s issued a freestyle challenge – and one of the people he called out is someone who he’s had beef with since the early ’00s – Eminem.
That’s right – in a recent radio appearance, Cannon mentioned that he originally went after Tyga, saying that he would treat the entire challenge like the video game Mortal Kombat, taking out each MC systematically until he got to “the boss” – Mr. Marshall Mathers himself.
Nick and Em Have Had Beef For Over A DecadeSo far, no word back from Em’s camp, but such a one-on-one would be something to see, and hear. Question is – who do you think would win? A man that 50 Cent recently said was the “Greatest of all time,” or Mariah Carey’s baby daddy? It doesn’t seem like a fair “fight,” actually.
We’ll have to wait and see – if it happens at all. The BET Awards are set to air June 26.
